Mood: busy, as usual

Hey, welcome to the forum! :D

I've seen you around LJ and was actually gonna send you an e-mail to ask if I could list your video on Kawoosh!, but seeing as you announced it on the forum, all videos announced here get listed anyway - you won't need to fill out the "Submit A Vid" form. Though while I'm at it, may I list the other videos from: http://smuffster.livejournal.com/tag/vids - that's the page I intend to link to (and don't worry, I don't hotlink unless you want me to).

I said I wouldn't be reviewing videos for a while 'cos I'm so busy at the mo' but I need a McShep fix to start my day!

Aaw, this video. I just want to hug them both so much. Loving the whole snow effect and the snow frame, and the picture at the end? Too cute!!!

The clips you used, their facial expressions and gestures are spot on, matching the lyrics of the song. Really clever work. What's more, everything seemed to flow. Sometimes I find vids jar because the scenes used are too different from each other.

On second viewing, I thought at 00:56 the scene was too stretched out. I understand it does fit with the song, but I wanted something more to happen there as it just looks like a still picture. Even just a zoom in effect could perhaps keep things moving?

02:16 is just purty. =) And the transition from 02:22 to 02:25 was really clever! The end scene was perfect and the end picture's so cute!!! Oh wait, I said that already. =P

Overall, great job and hope to see you around the forum! Thanks for the McShep fix. =D

Happy vidding!

You're welcome to list my other vids. I keep meaning to put them up here anyway.

And thanks for the feedback. I knew when I posted that it was off in a couple of places, but I really just wanted it done. And I don't know what is up with the colour. I normally work in Final Cut, but I was stuck with Premiere while my beloved mac was being serviced.

I know what you mean though about clips flowing properly. Sometimes when I watch vids I feel like they clips have just been randomly shoved together with no thought to how they fit with the lyrics or transition from one to another.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome :)

I never considered doing a holiday video myself. I believe in only doing what you know. And what you seem to know is holiday vids, cuz that was totally cute!

I'm not an Atlantis fan even. Although I have considered jumping aboard the Sheppard/Weir ship. But I thought your vid was adorable.

I know how it feels to get impatient with a vid. I mean there are songs I'd like to use. But they go for over 5 mins. And I just know I'll get tired half way through, and come up with a shoddy vid. Luckily that didn't happen to yours!

Anyway, great job!;)

Thank you very much :)

It was actually done for a prompt. The request was 'cheesy Stargate vid', which I think I got down fairly well *g*

I usually try and keep my vids to aroun 3 min. Anything longer than that and I'd probably go crazy.

Glad you enjoyed it anyway.

Huh, 'Cheesy Stargate Vid Contest'?
Well I just thought that it was cute...
I really liked the sappy romantic feel, and the effects just added to the overall cuteness of the piece!
Love the snow, the snowy frame, and the ending pic is just perfect!
Great job!

Heya! Still so cute! I wondered when I'd see the finished product and I love it, plus really the final manip is just inspired! :)

Thanks darl :)

And the manip? Seriously, that cap was just begging for something like that *g* It was the first shot I thought of when I realised I wanted a nice corny Christmas shot for the end.

I thought this was cute and corny - in a good way! Some places dragged on a little bit, but intended effect came through well. And the end scene with the presents was cute too. :)
